CO.STARTERS at Collider
Are you ready to transform your innovative ideas into actionable business plans?
Get your business idea unstuck and moving forward with CO.STARTERS at Collider! Sessions will run each Tuesday evening from July 16th-September 10th from 5-8PM. The first and last sesssions must be attended in person. The other sessions can be attended in person or virtually. Participants must attend at least 7 sessions to successfully complete the program.
Participants can register up to the start of the session on July 30th, if space is still open.
Program Overview
Interactive Learning: Engage in a multi-session program led by experienced facilitators in a collaborative, small-group setting.
Flexibility and Focus: Choose from our flexible program options to fit your busy schedule. We offer 9 week cohorts to really dig into the material as well as intensive, quick bootcamps. Our next 9 week cohort will start on July 16th.
Community and Support: Tap into a rich network of fellow entrepreneurs and receive real-time feedback to refine your business strategies.

Each CO.STARTERS session is led by a local facilitator and is a collaborative process with a small and supportive group of 10-15 like-minded peers. Working together, you’ll develop and fine-tune your ideas, critically examining every part and determining next steps through real-time feedback from people in the community. This approach helps entrepreneurial starters like yourself to rapidly uncover flaws in your concepts and find viable models more quickly. You’ll leave the CO.STARTERS with a deeper understanding of how to create a sustainable business and repeat the process with your next great idea.

How much does CO.STARTERS cost?
Cost varies based on available funding. Enrollment into the program includes the curriculum, facilitation through Rochester-based certified CO.STARTERS facilitators, and access to a community of support. Program fees are nonrefundable.
The CO.STARTERS 9 week program is valued at over $2,000 per participant.

Collider Foundation Bean Bag Shootout Tournament
Mark your calendars for Collider Foundation's first ever Bean Bag Shootout Tournament! Join us with our headline partners Little Thistle Brewing and Bleu Duck Kitchen for an afternoon of fun and community, all while raising funds to support entrepreneurship in Rochester, MN.
Your $50 participation fee includes entry for your team of 2 into a bean bag tournament bracket, where you get to play at least three games, a free drink ticket, and snacks.
Don't have a team. No worries! You can register as well as an individual and we will pair you with another participant to enter into the tournament.
The winning team will receive a special, custom prize!
Food trucks will be available on site at Little Thistle for additional food purchases.

1 Million Cups Rochester
Based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and engage with their communities over a million cups of coffee, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation developed 1 Million Cups in 2012—a free program designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs around the country. Through the power of volunteers, 1 Million Cups has grown to more than 160 communities. As a program of the Kauffman Foundation, 1 Million Cups works with entrepreneurs, empowering them with the tools and resources to break down barriers that stand in the way of starting and growing their businesses. Mr. Kauffman believed it was a fundamental right for anyone who had a big idea to be able to bring it to life—and we're here to fulfill that mission.

4th & Toast provides a friendly, supportive atmosphere for speakers of all abilities. It will help you improve your speaking skills, especially those required for business. Members build the confidence needed to speak in front of groups, learn to create and deliver effective presentations, and generally get comfortable speaking to others. DMC Webinar: Downtown Rochester COVID-19 Economic Impact Analysis
Description As part of the 5-year update to the Destination Medical Center (DMC) Development Plan, DMC commissioned HR&A Advisors to perform a scenario analysis of the potential impacts of COVID-19 on the local economy and the DMC Initiative. The results of that study will be presented at this webinar, where HR&A will discuss how COVID-19 may affect Rochester’s jobs, economic activity, and the DMC’s planning and investment strategy. HR&A is a New York-based economic development and real estate consulting firm with significant experience developing complex economic impact models for local governments and municipalities. Since the start of the pandemic, HR&A has been working with local leaders across the country to quantify the impact of COVID-19 to support local planning and development efforts. HR&A also brings experience working in Rochester and Southeast Minnesota and understands recent regional economic and demographic trends and planning efforts.

The next Empire Builders event is set for September 17! Since our last Empire Builders we have identified best practices for hosting an online event that focuses on the most important aspect of a community - making meaningful connections.
Networking and making meaningful connections has been challenging during the pandemic. Empire Builders will give attendees the tools to make these connections, while discussing relevant topics on how to continue to grow your business including Exposing Blind Spots and Adapting in the Face of Uncertainty
To do this we are going to get back to our roots, albeit online, and have two ~90 minute sessions that spend most of the time facilitating small group discussions along with a lunch and learn.

The second annual Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities (CEC) conference will take place Thursday, Sept. 10. online.
