September 17th - Morning Session, Lunch and Learn, Afternoon Session
The next Empire Builders event is set for September 17! Since our last Empire Builders we have identified best practices for hosting an online event that focuses on the most important aspect of a community - making meaningful connections.
Networking and making meaningful connections has been challenging during the pandemic. Empire Builders will give attendees the tools to make these connections, while discussing relevant topics on how to continue to grow your business including Exposing Blind Spots and Adapting in the Face of Uncertainty
To do this we are going to get back to our roots, albeit online, and have two ~90 minute sessions that spend most of the time facilitating small group discussions along with a lunch and learn.
These discussions will be with business owners, serial entrepreneurs and people that have built, advised and financed growth businesses throughout their careers. See what it looks like in action from past events.
A draft agenda is listed below and the final agenda/program, speakers, bios, and meeting invites will be emailed to participants prior to the event. Everyone is welcome to attend one or all of the sessions.
Morning Session - Opening the Blind Window for Growth - 9:30 to 11:00 CT
Joe Thurman, the CEO of interviewIA and co-founder of Breaking the Bias, will be guiding us through his insights on Exposing Blind Spots in our morning session.
Lunch and Learn - “Baking Bright Futures!” - 12:00 to 1:00 CT

Afternoon Session - Removing the Uncertainty - 2:00 to 3:30 CT
Amanda Brinkman, host and star of the popular series "Small Business Revolution," will share stories of how small businesses are "Adapting in the Face of Uncertainty" based on her team’s experience filming episodes since the start of the pandemic.
Who is this event for?
Empire Builders is designed specifically for Hill Capital portfolio companies, Hill Capital Ambassadors, potential portfolio companies, business owners and invited guests of our community. This event is intended to help the leaders of emerging growth companies that are, or could be, portfolio companies of Hill Capital Corporation with meaningful connections and inspiring content.
